This Website has been a wonderful experience for me to learn new things.  When dad asked me to take over his website for him, I had no idea how much time and effort it would take.  All I can say it was well worth it...and not to mention fun!  My job allows me to practice design work every day, and I am very fortunate to work at a place that I love. 

Since I lost my dad, and through his illness, I really have turned into a different person.  Not how I act, or look, but how I feel and what I believe.  Life's important moments, beauty, kindness, compassion, and possessions,  have a new feeling, and a different sense of appreciation. 

As the six month anniversary passes by of losing my dad, I see the healthy image of him in my mind again.  When I think of memories with him I like to think about swimming EVERYWHERE that there was water.  Lake Superior, Boundary Waters, or the Chippewa River, you name it, we swam in it.  I like to think of those long hikes he used to make us go on, and smile at the fact that now I'm glad he made us go. 

Dad's Nikon cameras have been passed on to me, and I have really grown to enjoy the "sport" of photography.  I haven't been a dedicated gardener this year, but I have been able to enjoy the perennials in our yard and my mom's garden. A new excitement in taking photos is babies! I have had many additions to our family & friends in the past year or so.  My brother had a new baby daughter named Hannah Marie Connolly on July 10, 2008.  I can't wait to capture her cutest moments on camera.

My boyfriend, Adam, recently became an uncle too.  His brother, had

a son named Hunter Allen Boss on April 5, 2008.  We get to see him at

least a couple of times a week.  My friend, Erin Palmer, also has a

3 year old son named Dylan, who I love as my own family.

Getting a picture of an unexpected expression on a baby's

face is one of the satisfactions that I love in photography.
